Daftar Asfar receives AFAC fund

The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture awarded Daftar Asfar with a fund to support the next phases of the project’s evolution.

The next stages of Daftar Asfar’s journey will include the following:

• Continue to co-curate and collaborate with different artists, curators and organisations on producing site-specific Daftars,

• We would like to continue to develop public programmes around the Daftar that engage audiences to consider the value, playfulness and preservation of the sketchbook and be able to experience the original Daftars,

• We would like to expand our breadth of participants to include non-art and more vulnerable communities,

• We are looking to expand our team to include supporters in the area of logistics and content development,

• We are looking to spend more time interviewing our artists, gaging and documenting their experiences collaborating and intersecting with different artists and styles.

• We are looking to organise events and meet ups that gather Daftar Asfar artists.
