The Mini Daftars

Ephemeral. Transient. Spontaneous. 

We launched a series of mini sketchbooks that culminate the programming and workshops we have conducted as a way of encouraging, practicing and enjoying a compartmentalized time capsule of focused workshops. Each Mini Daftar has been designed in collaboration with workshop participants and Daftar Asfar artists. While our larger and more structured publications take center stage, we are keenly aware of the importance of celebrating our more fleeting and unplanned Daftars.

Shereen Quttaineh stitched together a fabric collaged one with a collection of participants while Nour Taher created a collaged one. We continue to encourage the idea of creating smaller sketchbooks, and we ourselves as co-founders moved to create our own mini Daftar, now on sale at Gulf Photo Plus.
